Project Overview

ART 458: Graphic Design for Branding & Identity | Madison, WI Junior Student September 2025 – December 2025

Redesign the visual identity of an established brand.

 

Choose a major global or national brand with a recognizable identity (e.g., McDonald’s, Target, TikTok) and then redesign the brand’s logo and identity system based on an updated brand strategy.

 

Think critically about what should evolve and what should stay. Develop a cohesive brand system and apply it across key touchpoints.

Personal Notes

For this Project I decided to rebrand Ferrero Rocher because I wanted to rebrand a brand that had an already established legacy, which gave me more material to work with in terms of rebranding. Another reason for why I chose Ferrero Rocher because I had attachment to the brand from growing up with the brand since I was young.

The main goal I had in mind for this project was to take the already established brand of Ferrero Rocher and try to modernize the brand idea of “Delivering an unforgettable luxury experience through a quality multi-sensory chocolate” through a more inclusive voice

Personal Mockups

For this Project we had to take the already existing packaging and products from our respective companies and apply our rebranded logos. 

For this project I chose to rebrand the packaging, a social media ad, and the Ferrero Rocher website with the rebranded logo and aesthetic. I tried to emphasize the color scheme further in the rebrand with more saturated colors. I also wanted to keep the "high class" aesthetic of the brand through the decorative text and gold coloring that is very distinct from the brand
